Trucks driving down the middle of 2 lanes is really a 21st century. Before that most trucks were able to stay in their lane.

@@jello9079 They built new elevators and a triple escalator. Passengers will go directly from level 6 to level 4 (the train) instead of walking on level 5 after security. *All of level 5 will remain open to non-travelers.* North security on level 5 is closing this week I believe and south security will be gone when East security on level 6 opens later this decade.
Did they do proper feasibility study.. why spend millions of dollars for two way lane.. the surrey population is increasing.. they should have made 3 way lane each side.

Due to induced demand for traffic, more lanes does not solve traffic congestion. Providing safe, reliable and desirable alternative modes of transport like cycling, walking and public transit will.

I predict that those 2 lanes each way, while safer than the existing bridge lanes , will re restriped into 3 narrower lanes each way within 3 years of opening.

Plan is to move bike and pedestrian to davits on outside of bridge and thus opening up the 3rd lane each way. But rather than completing it in one go, NDP likes to spend money and tie up traffic needlessly. So they decided on the more expensive option of doing the sidewalks and bike lane twice.
@@timeymundson9061 I think part of it is the refusal of New West city council to be willing to widen the north side bridge approaches. This meant they would only allow a 4 lane bridge. But this capability to widen will be available if New West allows a couple extra approach lanes some day.

It would have been nice if they stuck with this design instead of the 2 lane design. 2 lanes in a area with so much traffic is a horrible idea.

El mayor problema de estas lluvias es la gran contaminación que traen porque viene de grandes ciudades como en este ejemplo en Madrid, y la finalidad de no inundar Madrid, y no tirar todo el agua sin limpiar al río, vamos que es un mecanismo para que no se te inunde la ciudad, lo que tú dices ya es otro tema

Ahora, en 2023, por las obras en la estación de Chamartin, volvemos a sufrir aumentos de 20 minutos en trayecto al no ser las líneas pasantes y usar el túnel de Recoletos. Muy interesante, el andén móvil para vehículos de Nuevos Ministerios.
